Shen Yun Performing Arts showcased the spirit of ancient Chinese civilization through classical Chinese dance, music, and storytelling in Ancona, Italy, on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30. Audience members said they were captivated by the artistry.

“It was very beautiful, with wonderful costumes that made you feel like you were dreaming as you watched the captivating imagery on screen. It was an interesting mix with the video elements in the performance, with skilled actors and dancers. It was very good,” Daniele Berardinelli, head of tourism in Ancona, said of his experience.

Business owner Ornella Botticelli said, “I think this performance deeply explores inner beauty, conveying the experiences of life, a story of a nation. It portrays resilience, of overcoming trials through inner strength and finding within ourselves the truth, ethics.”

“It’s beyond expectations,” entrepreneur Patrizia Pedretti said. “It is a remarkable discovery, as we Italians have little to no knowledge of Chinese culture, its dance, or perhaps even much of its history.”

“It’s perfection, it’s harmony. The performance felt like a journey into harmony for me,” business owner Manuela Silio said.

New York-based Shen Yun aims to revive 5,000 years of divinely-inspired traditional Chinese culture from “China before communism.” Audience members deeply appreciated the values brought to life on stage and took note of a deeper message.

“A message of harmony and peace, expressing a desire to paint the world with all its colors, infused with feelings of brotherhood and universal peace,” Franca Ida Rossi, headmaster of a school, said.

“The times we live in are not the best, given our historical period. This message of brotherhood and compassion touches the heart, spreading hope across the world,” entrepreneur Andrea Andreucci said.

Denis Paoli, a doctor, said he saw in the message of Shen Yun the value of being “strong, yet not aggressive, cultivating an inner strength that allows us to move forward and stay true to our beliefs.”

“Kindness, along with relying on the Divine and seeking the Divine within us. It’s something that, especially today, cannot be taken for granted,” graphic designer Sara Ninfali said.

“The artists are truly united as one. They convey a Divine message of union, spirituality, love, and a dance full of harmony,” Liliana del Papa, a sculptor, said.

Shen Yun will be performing in Rome, Italy, from Feb. 1 through Feb. 5.
