“I love the music,” he said. “I like the blend between the classical Western instruments and the classical Chinese instruments. And it’s a beautiful orchestra, beautiful sound, and beautiful colors and dance. It was wonderful.”
Shen Yun currently has eight equally sized companies that tour the world simultaneously every year. It will delight audiences in over 200 cities across more than 20 countries on five continents during the 2024 season.
Mr. Alberts said that what really touched him was the expressiveness and creativity in Shen Yun’s performance.
“I am moved [by] the creative expression of people,” he said, noting that it is “so beautiful and entertaining and visually stunning.”
The artists’ skills also impressed Mr. Alberts, who praised them for being very talented.
“Incredible performance, very well disciplined, very practiced in their art in their dance and their movements,” Mr. Alberts said of the performers. “It’s just very entertaining. ... And I think they give honor to our Creator, God. And it’s just great to see people expressing themselves creatively and artistically, musically.”
Mr. Alberts added that the performance “offered me inspiration to allow my creativity to be expressed” and that “it'll inspire me to be even more creative and colorful and expressive in my music.”
He also shared what he believed to be the essence of art that was expressed through Shen Yun.
“The real core of the art is the spirit,” he said. “The spirit of the universe, the spirit of humanity... the spirit of God. It’s the spirit of God being expressed through people, his creation through his children.”
Mr. Albert said that Shen Yun “brings people together to appreciate creative expression and beauty that God has created.”
