MONTPELLIER, France—On April 18, the unique sounds of Shen Yun Performing Arts resounded in the Corum in Montpellier accompanied with the shimmering colors of costumes harmoniously matching the majestic landscapes of ancient China.
Christian Desmoulins is a member of the French National Academy of Technology. This former polytechnician has worked for several government agencies and ministries.
“Wonderful! Absolutely beautiful! The pieces are perfectly harmonized in the background with what we see in the foreground. The colors are very well chosen. The landscapes are Chinese landscapes, with a lake, mountains that are reminiscent of Chinese calligraphy ... The choreography is so well done,” he said enthusiastically.
“Each dancer dances very well, with an absolutely magnificent high flexibility and grace for the female dancers and a strong will for the male dancers! The result is a choreography that is completely harmonized both in the choice of movements as well as in the choice of colors. ”
Mr. Desmoulins said he was touched by the values conveyed in Shen Yun’s dancing and singing: loyalty, compassion, courage.
“We live in an individualistic world today and compassion, charity, is something that is extremely important!”
Therefore Shen Yun is: “a show, a performance that, deep down, allows us to rediscover our ancient values and ultimately a goal for the future,” said Mr. Desmoulins.
Shen Yun Themes are ‘To Save Humanity’
Marc Pasqualini is a former airline pilot, now retired.
“The show is extraordinary! I enjoyed it! I was captivated by the choreography, by the acrobatics because they are athletes and they dance ... they jump very high, it’s extraordinary! I am delighted to have attended this show and I recommend it!
According to Mr. Pasqualini, Shen Yun is a form of “history which is conveyed in music and dance. And we are with heaven! We go to heaven!”
“Some themes come out to save humanity, to prevent having dictatorships, to preserve man’s freedom and I think it’s very, very important, especially at this time!”
Shen Yun Brings Serenity and Suspense
Patrice Pezzini is a former company manager specialized in insurance. He made the trip from Lyon to see Shen Yun.
“I think it’s well presented, well-paced, and it leaves us in suspense. I really enjoyed it!”
“It feels like ancestral landscapes, with characters coming out of the mountains and onto the stage, like paintings in the making! I found that extraordinary! It gives us this mystical aspect of China,” said Mr. Pezzini, adding, “You can feel the ancient China connecting with the new China.”
“It feels very good to be able to settle down a little, to meditate ... And the dances bring us a lot of serenity”, said Mr. Pezzini.
