WASHINGTON—Theresa Clower, artist, and a national organization director, loved the “immense creativity” she saw in Shen Yun Performing Arts.
Ms. Clower found the introduction to traditional Chinese culture through Shen Yun interesting, and something she said she may research more about on her own.
As a visual artist, she found the choreography and stagecraft most captivating.
“That kind of flow, so the movement and accentuated with the fabrics and the beauty of the costumes to me was just mesmerizing,” she said. “I thought the way that they transitioned from the stage to the sky and beyond was wonderful. Just so creative, jumping down and then up. That was beautiful.”
“I think they did a wonderful job. And I can’t imagine how they can produce this every year in another fashion,” Ms. Clower said. “I appreciate the immense creativity and dedication and the talent and the skill and all those young people.”
