LOS ANGELES—Arnold Garcia, founder and publisher of Shine On Hollywood Magazine, and CEO / President at A&G Entertainment Productions, found Shen Yun Performing Arts’ presentation of Chinese history and culture through classical Chinese dance and music to be an enjoyable experience.

“I thought … all the dancers did a good job in all the things; the music was good,” he said, after watching the performance at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, on March 22.

Mr. Garcia, who has done dancing and ballet himself, said he could appreciate the hard work that goes into creating a production like Shen Yun.

“The coordination, I thought it was great … it was all in sync. The most important for me as an audience to see [is that] dancers are all in sync working together and they are telling a story at the same time, and that is very important,” he said.

According to the Shen Yun website, “In less than ten minutes each, Shen Yun dances recount ancient myths, bygone heroes, or celestial paradises. Whether set in the past or in contemporary China, every dance embodies traditional Chinese values.”

Mr. Garcia said Shen Yun is “doing amazing things,” and the “is just phenomenal in many ways.”

“[Shen Yun artists] work together really hard, and you can see a story behind it, so it’s a must see show.”
