KEELUNG, Taiwan—“The coordination between the entire stage design (animated backdrops) and performers was perfect. It’s really amazing! How could it be possible to have such a seamless coordination?” exclaimed Mr. Lin Huang-kuen, famous director and principal executive board member of Taiwan Cultural & Creative Association (TCCA) and CEO of the Zheng Hao Video Records Limited, after he saw the Shen Yun show at the Keelung Cultural Center along with his wife on April 1.

Very Educational and Beautiful
“What is most commendable is the music. Western orchestral symphony is even blended with traditional Chinese music so perfectly. It’s indeed a perfect fusion of East and West,” said Mr. Lin. He continued, “In terms of the traditional Chinese music in the show, including erhu, flute and other Chinese musical instruments are played exceptionally well.”
Fascinated by the erhu performance, he praised, “Wonderful! Regardless of whether it’s a high-pitch sound or a low-pitch sound, there are variations in every tone. Wow! It’s indeed marvelous.”
“The performance of erhu is full of emotion, and the performer is very dedicated. The entire show is amazingly beautiful. In particular, the synchronization of the animated backdrops and the dances is flawless. It’s unbelievable. I’ve never seen this kind of performance,” said Mrs. Lin.
“It’s very educational and very beautiful. I'll definitely come back to see the show next year.” “It’s really worthwhile to be here today,” the couple concluded.
Really Very Touching!
Mr. Chen Wancheng, director of Keelung Xiong Yun Performing Troupe and honorary director of Keelung Woodpecker Singers Choir, spoke highly of Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company’s performance on April 1. “It’s really very touching.”
Having been principal of junior and high schools as well as president of Community University in Keelung, Chen Wancheng was moved by Shen Yun’s objective of reviving 5,000 years of Chinese culture. Vocalists Impress
“Every performer is the best of the best,” praised Mr. Chen Yung-Mo, who is a well-known painting artist whose works are highly acclaimed by Hong Kong Sotheby’s and Christie’s Hong Kong.
Shen Yun also features several accomplished vocalists who use the bel canto technique.
Impressed with vocalists’ breathtaking performance, Chen Yung-Mo noted, “The soprano’s voice is very loud and clear.”
Chen Yung-Mo admired Shen Yun dancers’ tremendous achievements very much. He mentioned, “In view of the fact that difficult dancing movements are performed perfectly at ease, they (dancers) would have gone through rigorous training. Seeing the show would be of much benefit to those who are learning dancing.”
“The entire show is so pure that it can purify our souls. Performers’ faces are full of compassion. It’s indeed a show with sincerity, compassion and beauty. Shen Yun performing Arts’ contribution is not merely the artistic performance that we can see on the surface. Instead, it has more profound meanings,” Mr. Chen stressed.
