‘It’s Sensational’: Tours Audience Dazzled by Shen Yun’s Artistry and Spiritual Values

Shen Yun Performing Arts arrived in France’s historic town of Tours on Feb. 8. All five shows in the city sold out half a month before. Audiences were dazzled by Shen Yun’s artistry and profound spiritual values.

Daniel Barbier, a former deputy prefect, said: “Well, listen, it’s sensational, it’s very fluid. It’s an extraordinary show. We’re not used to seeing this in France. Especially since all the dances are done with extreme rigor. It’s exquisite. It’s a show worth seeing again and again, I think.”

Michel Trehard, a consulting firm founder, said: “It’s extraordinary. It’s very spectacular, very colorful as well. It’s full of grace and athleticism and strength at the same time.”

Diego Mombelli, a director engineer, said: “Well, these are strong emotions, things you don’t feel every day! It’s something exceptional. It’s beauty, it’s great values. It’s the history of China. It’s very deep and touches the heart.”

Philippe Blanchard, a business owner, said: “I really like the values conveyed by this show in particular. In addition to the actors, the musicians, and the enchantment, there were also the humanitarian values that were conveyed. The values were well explained during the show, [conveying the message that] we shouldn’t lose our traditions and spiritual values.”

Besides the show’s spiritual messages, audiences also admired Shen Yun’s artistry.

“Artistic level? Listen, I’d give it 20 out of 10. There you go. Oh dear, this is something unheard of. You’ve got an extraordinary treble there. It’s a good thing there was no glass in the room because they would have all broken,” said Mr. Barbier.

“The level is perfect. The coordination is flawless. It’s beautiful to see the combination of the screen, the people, and the dances. It’s very elegant and perfectly synchronized,” said Mr. Mombelli.

“I was in a state of wonder, like a child filled with awe,” said Mr. Trehard.

“You can absolutely feel a positive energy, along with strong convictions and a beautiful tradition. The history of China is there in the background, and it matters. Unfortunately, it is no longer present in China today, but it continues to exist thanks to troupes like [Shen Yun],” said Mr. Blanchard.

“We live in a crazy world. And somehow, when you come to see a show like this, it’s soothing. It gives you a momentary escape, allowing you to forget, just for a while, all the horrors happening in the world,” said Mr. Barbier.

“The show is very important because it gives us strength in our daily lives. It can help us solve many problems, forget the routine for a moment, and recharge with energy,” said Mr. Mombelli.

“Not losing our values and traditions—I think that’s the most powerful message conveyed through this performance. A millennia-old culture that must not be forgotten. And I believe you will feel deeply moved after the show. Thank you Shen Yun,” said Mr. Blanchard.
