INDIANAPOLIS-Spring is in full swing and as warmer temperatures breeze into Indianapolis, so does Shen Yun. Enjoying the performance, on April 18, was Jim Newman and wife Jackie.
“We really enjoyed it!” commented the couple.
Mr. Newman, who is an insurance recruiter, worker for a company called Search Associates, Inc. where he currently serves as President of the local company. Mr. Newman and his company help place people in the insurance industry.
“It’s very good, very athletic, very strong, very artistic,” added Mr. Newman. “To jump up into the air, and to do all of these artistic athletics, they are very, very talented, very agile.”
Each year Shen Yun presents an entirely new production with orchestral accompaniment.
Many who see the performance in previous years return to Shen Yun the following year. Each season offers a new program. This is no exception to Mr. and Mrs. Newman who saw last year’s performance with some friends and brought them again this year.
“It reminded me of last year’s,” continued Mr. Newman. “But, last year’s was great too. So, I have enjoyed both of them. I think they are really good.”
Shen Yun performs a variety of dance numbers, musical performances, and solo artists who each express something or tell a story. It also seems that everyone has their own favorite, or one that stands out for them the most.
“I like the drum performance,” added Mr. Newman. “I just think it was a combination of the musical instruments and the dance; very, very good!”
“We have always been very interested in the arts,” Mr. Newman continued. [Shen Yun is] “very easy to watch, fun, beautiful.”
