“I thought the show was amazing,” Jason Bercovitch said. “It’s really interesting to see not only all the colors and the beautiful outfits that the performers wear but the way that it combines the traditional dance with the modern technology. I love how they were kind of bouncing in and out using the camera and the videos as well as the dance performance. So beautiful, beautiful performance.”
“I thought it was really nice, I enjoyed the very colorful outfits and nice dancing. The singing was amazing,” said Shawn Johnson, an accountant who was also in attendance.
“I love the dance. I like the martial arts sequence that they put in there. I thought the choreography was really great, really remarkable,” said Robert Hutchinson, a former U.S. Marine major.
“I didn’t realize how much faith comes into play with a performance like Shen Yun. So I was very touched by the inclusions and faith and God, and a higher power in the performance and the message that was given,” Mr. Bercovitch said.
“The message to me is to always keep the faith. So if we believe in a higher power, it’s amazing what we can accomplish if we keep the faith and really do good.”
“Love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Those kinds of things are what humanity is. And I think that is what the show was largely about too,” said Stephen Cochrane, who owns a law firm.
“I think especially nowadays, there’s a lot of bad news that’s out there. There’s a lot of tension that’s out there. And this just reminds me about the beauty of culture and history, and this is the type of thing that we should all be celebrating: it’s performances like this, and the beauty of the culture and the tradition,” Mr. Bercovitch added.
