DALLAS—Working as an officer at the USCIS has allowed John Fusaro to meet people from all walks of life. So, after seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts, he shared how the performance has impacted him.
He shared that Shen Yun has inspired him to “try to be a better person and treat others with respect and kindness.”
Currently working with people applying for asylum, Mr. Fusaro has met Falun Gong practitioners who have described their experience in detention centers in China.
Carmela, who has just begun her job at the USCIS, was at the performance with Mr. Fusaro.
“[Shen Yun] shows kindness, and it shows cruelty, and suffering human emotions. [Shen Yun] is really entertaining. It’s so good. It makes you wake up,” said Carmela.
“I love the whole cinematography and everything about it. It’s so enchanting. It’s amazing. So how did they do that?” asked Carmela.
She added that she looks forward to seeing Shen Yun again.
Ricardo Flores, a compliance officer for a telecom company, was also at the performance this evening. Coming from Venezuela, he understands the oppression of living in a communist country.
“The part when the Communist Party took the guy to prison touched me because we have the same situation in my country, Venezuela,” said Mr. Flores.
“The sight of him as he was restored by the divine—that’s a miracle for me—and could happen actually,” said Mr. Flores.
Shen Yun believes that we are all connected to the divine.
“We are traveling through the earth, but we have a connection with God and the divine, which we should preserve,” said Mr. Flores.
