LUBLIN, Poland—On the evening of Jan. 14, Shen Yun Performing Arts performed its third and final performance at The Centre for the Meeting of Cultures–Opera Hall in Lublin, Poland, this year. Nela Mitukiewicz-Wiesner, founder of a ballet school and choreographer, praised the performance as a deeply touching artistic and spiritual journey.
“I am very impressed by the performance. I still feel a lot of emotions after the show. It was both an artistic and spiritual experience for me,” Ms. Mitukiewicz-Wiesner said.
New York-based Shen Yun is the world’s classical Chinese dance company, with a mission to revive 5,000 years of Chinese civilization and share with the world China before communism.
Ms. Mitukiewicz-Wiesner said the dance was “perfection.”
“Perfection in movement, precision, such unity, synchronicity. It felt as if they were forming one organism,” she said.
“It was fascinating to see the harmonious flow of movement in the choreography, directed toward the heavens. It was as though the dancers were slightly lifted off the ground through this, as if their arms were angelic wings,” she continued.
Ms. Mitukiewicz-Wiesner said that what touched her heart was that Shen Yun brings people the message of connection with God, that people must believe in God, and God will always show us the direction and help us.
She said she felt in the performance “a connection with divinity, that it is accessible to all of us.”
She also felt the art conveyed a message “to treat each other with kindness, goodness, compassion, beauty, and to spread [these values] further ... to be good, kind, to trust that the divine supports us in every moment, that at any moment we can turn to a Higher Power, and it will guide us. And no matter what happens, this power supports and gives us directions.”
The moving performance filled Ms. Mitukiewicz-Wiesner with gratitude.
Danuta Wojtaszko, owner of a tax office company, attended the performance as well and after experiencing Shen Yun for the first time, urged others not to miss their chance.
“I’d tell [my friends] to come in great numbers to see this performance in Lublin, Poland,“ she said. ”[The show] is beautiful, you can experience wonderful moments and leave with a smile, joy, and uplifted, be happy, cheerful, and a good person, and spread that kindness to others.”
“It was beautiful, and it left a lasting impression on me. I think I’ll remember it for a long time,” she said.
“From my heart, I liked the performance very, very much. You can experience here wonderful moments and leave with a smile, joy, and in good spirits,” she said.
