COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Atlas Scribe felt a strong and positive energy from Shen Yun Performing Arts, seeing it at the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts on March 28.
For 5,000 years, China before communism was a spiritual civilization, and its people believed their culture was a gift from the heavens. Ms. Scribe was familiar with some elements of traditional Chinese culture, such as the concept of energy, or “qi,” and discovered in Shen Yun a story of the Creator descending from the heavens to establish human civilization.
“I hadn’t seen that portrayal of China before,” Ms. Scribe said, adding her appreciation for Shen Yun’s mission to revive this culture.
“It’s absolutely beautiful and essential,” she said. “It brings an energetic aspect, and that’s one thing that’s wonderful about the Chinese culture.”
She said the energy and awareness of energy was something that was brought out in the dance. She added that her hand is recovering, and there was so much energy in the performance she could still feel it.
“I feel it, I know so,” she said. “You know when you stand in water and the resistance of water, you feel that pressure? ... It is very much like that.”
“I was feeling energy throughout the entire show,” she said, describing the feel as “I got an upgrade, in my being.”
“The dancers are holding a field of energy, and depending on what level you’re at, they provide an access, a pipeline if you will, for that energy to come through to you, to do what it will with your energy system,” she explained.
“It’s quite a ride,” Ms. Scribe said.
To the artists, she wanted to say, “Just keep doing it. Don’t stop, please, because it’s beautiful.”
