THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.—BP Major is a singer, dancer, and actor. Seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts on March 25, 2025, he was pleased to share that the performance was wonderful.
“The show is wonderful. It’s very spectacular, it’s so colorful. The dancers are dynamic. There’s a wonderful technique. I love the choreography,” BP Major said.
Shen Yun is based in New York and its mission is to revive 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, China before communism.
“The flexibility is really impressive. I’m a little jealous, to be honest, because I don’t think I could possibly ever dance like that, even when I was dancing,” BP Major said.
“I think that everybody does a great job telling the story through their face as well as their body. And that’s important. So when you’re dancing, it’s not just about movement. It’s also telling the story through your entire body. So I think your dancers do a beautiful job of telling the story, but through the face, through their emotion and through their bodies,” he said.
Every year, Shen Yun puts on an all-new production. The resident choreographers, composers, and everyone else involved in production work together to bring the best of Chinese culture to the world.
In many of Shen Yun’s stories, there is an ongoing theme of filial piety and loyalty.
