The U.S. Secret Service has listed President Donald Trump the No. 1 target of death threats in the United States.
Donald Trump Jr., his son, is No. 2 on the list, according to a new book from Trump Jr.
In his book, “Triggered,” Trump Jr. lists family members, friends, and prominent conservatives who have become the target of leftist critics and attackers.
“Anyone who supports my father is a target,” he wrote in the book.
Other names he listed include Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and his aide Sergio Gor, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, brother Eric Trump, sister Ivanka Trump, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), and Vice President Mike Pence.
For example, Scalise, the current House Minority Whip, was shot in mid-2017 during practice for a Congressional baseball game by a radical left-wing extremist, James Hodgkinson. He ended up returning on Sept. 28 and gave a speech about his experience.
The president’s son also wrote that he and his family are not going to hide.
Trump Jr. also expressed surprise that he became a target after he supported his father in speeches to promote him.
“These people are so irrational, hysterical, upset, and out looking for enemies. I should know,” he wrote in the book. “I became one of their top targets.”
Then, he added: “After the election, I became the guy who receives the second-highest number of death threats in the country (according to the Secret Service, second only to my father).”
In a recent example, the Secret Service interviewed Rapper Eminem about threatening lyrics against Trump.
The Secret Service wrote that the song lyrics are “exhibiting inappropriate behavior” and “threatens” Trump. The lyrics, according to the website in a report last month, also touched on Trump’s family.
The younger Trump’s book is due out on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
