Kim Kardashian West makes $1 million for each Instagram ad she posts, according to new reports.

Kardashian West just filed a lawsuit against Missguided USA, a fast fashion online retailer that sells outfits inspired by celebrities, for using her images and name without her consent, according to TMZ.
In the lawsuit, Kardashian West is filing for damages in excess of $10 million. However, since the company hasn’t responded, she has asked for the default of $5 million, justifying the number by explaining she earns around $1 million per Instagram ad she posts, TMZ reported.

According to the report, she said she often turns down offers to work with companies as she doesn’t want the association.

“Missguided does not merely replicate the looks of these celebrities as seen on red carpets, in paparazzi photos, and in social media posts,” Kim’s lawyer wrote to mitigate her disdain for the clothing company, according to Complex. “Missguided systematically uses the names and images of Kardashian and other celebrities to advertise and spark interest in its website and clothing.”

Kardashian West wrote on Twitter, “I don’t have any relationships with these sites. I’m not leaking my looks to anyone, and I don’t support what these companies are doing.”

Shortly before the news about the lawsuit against Missguided, Kardashian West also took to Twitter to express outrage against the designer rip offs.

“It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas,” Kardashian West wrote on Twitter.

“I’ve watched these companies profit off my husband’s work for years and now that it’s also affecting designers who have been so generous to give me access to their beautiful works, I can no longer sit silent.”

Lawsuit or not, it seems she’s earning a lot more per Instagram post than in previous years.

Last year, Business Insider reported that she was making $720,000 per post, while her sister, Kylie Jenner, was making $1 million per post. Jenner’s massive earnings per post might have also been a contributing factor in making her the world’s youngest self-made billionaire.
Earlier this year, Forbes magazine released its annual ranking of the world’s richest people, and this year’s list included a new name. Aside from making the billionaire’s list for the first time, Jenner is also the world’s youngest billionaire, and the “youngest self-made billionaire ever” according to Forbes.

The business magazine ranked Jenner as the world’s 2,057th richest person. Jenner became a billionaire at 21; two years before Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at 23, in 2008.

“I didn’t expect anything,” Jenner said in an interview with Forbes. “I did not foresee the future. But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”

Forbes credited the success of Jenner’s makeup company, Kylie Cosmetics, with her new billionaire status. Jenner founded Kylie Cosmetics in 2015, known for its liquid lipsticks and lip liners, which she runs with the help of her mother, Kris.
