Utah Jazz released guard Raja Bell on Sunday, and will pay him the full remaining amount on his contract, $3.4 million, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.

Bell could still sign on with another team, but having passed the March 1 deadline for playoff eligibility, he could only play until the last day of the season, reports CBS Sports. It remains to be seen whether any team will take him under these circumstances, including the Los Angeles Lakers, which had earlier expressed interest in Bell.

The stand-off between Bell and Utah Jazz began during the 2011–12 season, when Bell called coach Tyrone Corbin, “unprofessional.” Bell has not seen any action for this season.

With a spot on the roster cleared, Utah Jazz announced it has signed D-League All-Star Game MVP Travis Leslie for a 10-day contract.
