Officials said that there was a bomb blast at the Jackson County District Attorney (DA) Office in Medford, Ore., on Wednesday.

The explosion was apparently caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) that detonated by a propane tank, reports said.

According to KGW-TV, police set up a perimeter around the office.

The explosion reportedly took place at 4:30 a.m.

Police said the blast did extensive damage and shattered windows of the office.

There were no injuries and police believe the device that blew up was the only one in the building.

Officials told the local Mail-Tribune paper that a man wearing dark clothing ran from an officer who was on the scene. It is unclear if the man had any connection to the blast.

Police officers who arrived on the scene said they saw a large propane tank on fire.

The FBI and ATF are on the scene, investigating.
