The Chinese regime’s mouthpiece, People’s Daily, published a series of commentaries that claim the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is not a threat to its own people or to the world.

The editorial, headlined “The Communist Party of China and the Chinese People on the Great Long March,” issued five commentaries from Aug. 18 to 24.

The People’s Daily wrote: “The international environment is becoming increasingly complex; instability and uncertainty are obviously growing; protectionism, unilateralism, and populism are becoming more and more intensified; and hegemonic thinking and bullying are becoming more and more severe. What happened to the world? What about mankind?”

Why is the CCP anxious? It’s because the world is unanimously resisting the CCP, as more and more countries are beginning to recognize the nature of the regime and the harm it inflicts upon the world. The CCP doesn’t truly care about mankind. Instead, it is concerned with maintaining its power and legitimacy.

The communist media charged the United States with protectionism, unilateralism, and bullying. These allegations have come handy to attack U.S. countermeasures against Huawei. It is only natural for the CCP to engage in illegal activities, such as espionage and theft of intellectual property.

Does the CCP Maintain World Peace?

The People’s Daily editorial deliberately frames the CCP issue as the China issue, and conceals the CCP’s motives of world domination behind the so-called will of the state. According to one of the commentaries, “Some people are worried that China will take the path of a hegemony, and thus come up with the theory of ‘China threat.’”

In the past two years, top U.S. officials such as Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have made it known that there is a clear distinction between China and the CCP. The primary threat is the CCP, not China, nor the Chinese people.

The People’s Daily wrote, “It has always been China’s unwavering national will to actively strive for a peaceful international environment to develop itself, and to better maintain world peace and promote common development with its own development.”

Is the CCP really promoting peace? Over the years, the CCP has given financial support to the dictators of North Korea and Iran as a bargaining chip to expand its political influence and to strengthen their alliance in confronting the United States.

At the end of the last century, two Chinese military officers published “Unrestricted Warfare” to propose a war strategy to attack the United States. The authors claimed the strategy that breaks through all the rules and boundaries is the future war zones—ranging from network warfare, resources warfare, media warfare, economic warfare, to cultural warfare.

In reality, the CCP has launched an unrestricted war against the freedom camp in many areas. For example, in recent years, Western media and intelligence agencies have repeatedly exposed and condemned Chinese hackers’ cyberattacks. Government departments, private companies, military companies, and hospitals in the United States, Australia, and Europe have been hacked.

According to a French media report, many hospitals and clinics in Europe have encountered cyberattacks since March. Sources say these attacks originated from China and the purpose was to steal patients’ information and research data pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe.

Starting on July 1, the CCP implemented the national security law in Hong Kong. Under Article 38 of this law, the Hong Kong police issued arrest warrants for six overseas Hong Kong residents at the end of July, including an American citizen and two people who were granted asylum in Britain and Germany. On Aug. 10, the Hong Kong police arrested 10 pro-democracy activists, including Jimmy Lai. And more than 200 police officers raided the Apple Daily building. The “white terror” has permeated the entire city.

On July 21, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) charged Li Xiaoyu and Dong Jiazhi, agents of the Guangdong State Security Department of the Ministry of State Security, alleging that they had stolen large amounts of data from high-tech companies and conducted a hacking campaign that began more than 10 years ago. They targeted companies in countries with high tech industries, stole information ranging from trade secrets, defense, to COVID-19 vaccine research. “The nature and value of the material stolen by these hackers cannot just be measured in dollars and was indicative of being state driven,” according to a statement from the DOJ.

On July 31, the CCP completed its BeiDou-3 global satellite navigation system. According to an article on the official Weibo site of Chinese Academy of Sciences titled “Ten Questions on BeiDou,” the author claimed the development of BeiDou helped the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) engage in asymmetric information warfare, bypassing the reliance on GPS (Global Positioning System), and conduct precision, spotted, and beheading operations.

In addition, the CCP bought media overseas, used student organizations to engage in United Front work, infiltrated various organizations to collect intelligence, and its diplomats slandered the United States and other countries as the source of the CCP virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus.

These actions are all forms of unrestricted warfare tactics aimed to export communist ideology, suppress the freedom of speech, media, and academics, and undermine the stability of a free society.

The Biggest Fear of the CCP

On July 23, Pompeo said in a California speech: “If the free world doesn’t change, communist China will surely change us.” Pompeo called on “free nations” to counter the CCP’s aggression.

To change communist China means to help the Chinese people disintegrate the CCP and eliminate tyranny. This call from the United States is the CCP’s greatest fear.

The CCP seems to be huge and unshakable. In fact, the inside of the “Red Boat” has fallen apart. The 90 million Party members are ready to jump ship. Many have withdrawn and severed their ties with the CCP. Others want to transform China into a free and democratic nation by cooperating with people outside the Party and Western democratic forces.

While the CCP faces crises at this time, it could be a turning point and an opportunity for mankind to reflect on the injustices of communism. The world’s people are faced with a choice: to follow the CCP or to support justice.
