The transgender apparatus is at it again in an attempt to dominate female sports. Do you recall University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas, who couldn’t cut it in men’s swimming because he wasn’t an elite swimmer? Instead, this biological male hijacked women’s sports by competing with them and winning swim meets.

Mr. Thomas claimed to be a female, but he didn’t take the step of gender transition surgery. He was larger and more muscular than the female swimmers, which made it incredibly unfair for the biological females who had trained for years to compete in collegiate swimming.

Fortunately, championship swimmer Riley Gaines of the Leadership Institute continues to expose the insidious agenda of trans men attempting to erase the integrity of women’s sports. However, why aren’t there far more men, women, and officials in the National Collegiate Athletic Association fighting to preserve female sports from the unwanted intrusions of trans men who cheat to win events?

There should be countless numbers of college administrators, coaches, and parents battling for the equal rights of women who are pursuing their athletic dreams. Isn’t that what Title IX was meant to enforce and monitor? Sadly, in the current woke environment, we shouldn’t be surprised that female complaints and protests fall on deaf ears.

Fast forward to more recent events, and we find transgender activists attempting to upend the sports of fencing and cycling. Biological male Liz Kocab recently won his eighth world fencing title over a biological female in the women’s 70 and over division. Why would an elderly man want to carry out swordplay with elderly women? This is a travesty and flies in the face of fair and healthy competition. Where are the governing councils of sport such as the International Fencing Federation and the International Olympic Committee? Why aren’t they issuing red flag warnings?

In women’s cycling, two biological males “won” two medals recently in the Chicago Cyclocross Cup. Tessa Johnson and Evelyn Williamson received the gold and silver, while the sole female on the podium (Allison Zmuda) took bronze. Canada’s Rachel McKinnon, also a biological male, has “won” events and “set world records” competing in cycling events against females.

If these trans individuals had an ounce of respect and situational awareness, they wouldn’t participate in female races, and biological females would garner the top three medals in cycling competitions.

If trans cyclists want to compete, why don’t they go up against males or start a trans cycling league of their own? Why wasn’t the International Cycling Union intervening in this injustice and enforcing the rules of fairness and monitoring athletes who seize unfair advantages?

Research published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine has found that even if biological males inject male suppression hormones over a lengthy period of time, they still have a sizable speed and strength advantage over females in athletics.

Folks who claim to be woke often assert that silence is violence. If that is the case, why aren’t woke influencers speaking out about the injustices generated by trans men who are hell-bent on toppling female sports? Where are all of the disciples of equity who claim to care about the human rights of women? Shouldn’t they be ringing the alarm bells of injustice? Isn’t their silence a form of violence perpetrated on females?

What drives these trans activists to alter that which is immutable? Why do they defy moral and natural laws? Is it self-loathing? It appears to be an addiction to narcissism, because they heed their own feelings at the expense of females who work very hard to compete on a level playing field.

Indeed, we shouldn’t even need to have these discussions, because common sense informs us that athletic competition ought to be as fair as humanly possible. Unfortunately, common sense is in short supply with the “progressive” left.

Trans individuals overturning women’s sports is a far cry from the situation wherein young girls want to play on a boys team in K-12 public schools. This occurs from time to time. For example, a female occasionally earns a spot as a place kicker on the boys football team, or a girl gets to be a pitcher in Little League Baseball. In these scenarios, the females don’t have an advantage over the boys, and everyone is aware that they are biological females.

By contrast, unscrupulous adult transgender influencers urge impressionable young people to transition to another gender at the drop of a hat—even if that minor might only need counseling to resolve emotional or mental challenges. This is immoral, because the adverse consequences of transitioning can last a lifetime. Some of these influencers have surrendered to a frenzied chase after the almighty dollar, and they are indifferent to the suffering they unleash.

It is also highly unethical to barge into women’s sports as a biological male and demand extra rights that no one else in society possesses. This sets a terrible example for youngsters who need a moral compass as they grow up.

Instead of the Orwellian term “gender-affirming care,” which implies changing pronouns, taking mind-numbing drugs, and enduring physical mutilation, let us define that phrase differently. The phrase should mean affirming and caring about one’s gender at birth, because God has blessed us with the priceless gift of life that should not be tampered with.
