China’s official media reported a successful double-lung transplant for a CCP Virus patient on Feb. 29.
Among the information provided about the operation, the patient’s history and prognosis, and the surgeons, one fact inadvertently exposes the CCP’s iniquity:
“The transplanted lungs were donated by a non-local patient after brain death and transported to Wuxi by high-speed railway in seven hours,” said the Global Times.
How did it so happen that a brain-dead donor with all the right characteristics, such as blood and tissue type, was conveniently available just before surgery on the CCP Virus patient was to be performed?
Transplant On Demand—Only in China
For many, if not most, organ transplants in China nowadays, the organs are harvested from living, non-voluntary “donors” who are usually people with non-sanctioned beliefs, such as Falun Gong practitioners and Uyghurs.Investigators have noted the well-nigh-impossible speed with which organs are procured in China on a regular basis:
“Yet, in China, where organ donation is culturally taboo and there is no effective organ donation system as of yet, patients can find matching organs whenever needed, suggesting that there is a large number of readily available organ sources waiting to be matched to patients.”
EndTransplantAbuse.org is an update of two investigative books written on organ harvesting: “Bloody Harvest,” by David Kilgour and David Matas; and “The Slaughter,” by Ethan Gutmann.
The China Tribunal, an independent tribunal into forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China, held evidentiary hearings in London in 2018 and 2019.
The Tribunal observed this about the difficulty of finding organs for a specific recipient quickly:
“Even in countries with long-established and well publicized transplant programs….In general terms, waiting times for organs can be months or years. For example, the average waiting time for a liver transplant in the UK is 135 days for adults…. For hearts, the wait is described as months or years and for lungs the wait is even longer.”
Who Was Really the Donor?
The China Tribunal noted that Falun Gong practitioners likely account for the vast majority of the victims of organ harvesting:“In the long-term practice in the PRC of forced organ harvesting it was indeed Falun Gong practitioners who were used as a source—probably the principal source—of organs for forced organ harvesting.”
Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese practice of meditation and exercise whose practitioners study and attempt to live by the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. It grew to have more than 100 million practitioners in 1999, when the CCP began a systematic persecution campaign of torture, defamatory propaganda, financial loss, and death of countless practitioners.
We may never know the identity of the “brain-dead” donor who provided the lungs for the CCP Virus patient on Feb. 29. But we can make inferences about that donor, given the realities of wait times for organs in countries with the most sophisticated donor systems; given the accumulated evidence showing that forced organ harvesting from living prisoners of conscience occurs in China at large volume; and given that most of the organs in China come from Falun Gong practitioners.
