The American flag, county flag, POW/MIA banner, and state flag will be flown at public venues. Most Americans can identify with these familiar flags as they represent what unites us.
By contrast, the rainbow flag is highly divisive, because it has received special favors in some jurisdictions across the country. LGBT representatives constantly state that all they seek is equal rights and safe acceptance, not extra rights. However, actions by the pride community often run counter to this claim.
What other groups in our society have their own flags that can be flown in public places? How many groups have special billboards, branding on athletic gear, clothing and several products, a special month, and parades? How many groups can come into public schools and other tax-funded agencies to indoctrinate vulnerable young minds with hidden agendas? One would be hard pressed to think of any groups that have all these “rights.”
Unfortunately, the “pride” community doesn’t understand the distinction between private and public behavior. Within reason, folks can do what they want in private, but there are public civilizational standards that most people respect. Most folks don’t want to see parades where degrading behavior and narcissism are on full display. What if there are children at these public events where decency standards of dignity are shredded? Why is it even necessary to have these discussions in a democratic republic?
A recent example of tone-deaf cluelessness was a science teacher at a local high school. A teacher at El Dorado High School in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District explicitly taught a lesson on the practices of gay sex. Fortunately, the lesson was captured on social media (one good aspect of social media), and many parents were outraged. One wonders if the teacher informed the students about the diseases spread by these practices. The teacher is currently on leave but should have been terminated immediately. It doesn’t matter how “nice” the teacher is.
Tax funded schools are supposed to teach athletics, electives, rigorous core subjects, and noble trades. They shouldn’t be in business to promote a “woke” agenda that tears apart traditional families, the fabric of society, and spiritual principles. Young people don’t belong to the state, they belong to their parents, so parents should have a powerful voice into what students are being taught.
For quite some time, leaders in the LGBT community have pressured academia, corporations, governing entities, and the media to advertise and market their brand. If their demands aren’t met, they smear folks who oppose their agenda as bigots and haters. But who are the haters? Most Americans didn’t request these culture wars to be thrust upon them, but unfortunately the woke industrial complex continues to battle in a shrill manner for extra rights that no one else has in our society.
If the “pride” community merely desires equal rights and a safe environment, then stop attempting to cram an arrogant world view down the throats of Americans. All it does is create division, because some elitist groups seem incapable of governing themselves. The pride community could study the definitions of equality of opportunity, fairness, and responsible liberty. If one group receives special favors, other segments of society are denied certain rights.
Key institutional leaders ought to protect the majority against the coercive tyranny of an uncivil minority. Kudos to many of the businesses, governing entities, media outlets, and school boards throughout the country that are fighting back against LGBT propaganda. Indeed, every American can play a role in dismantling the insidious designs of the woke industrial complex.
