SANTA ANA, Calif.—One person died and another was hospitalized after a shooting in Santa Ana Dec. 18.
The Santa Ana Police Department reported it received a call from a hospital around 1:45 a.m. Sunday regarding a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The man, who was expected to survive, had been rushed to the hospital by a friend, who disclosed to the hospital staff that there was another victim in the area of 2100 S. Main Street in Santa Ana, according to the police department.
When officers arrived at the area, they found another man suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. The Orange County Fire Authority responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The shooting was under investigation.
The identity of the fatal victim was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
