LONG BEACH, Calif.—Time is one of the most precious resources and time with our loved ones is invaluable. Shen Yun Performing Arts is an experience that is perfect for a family, but what happens when the time with our loved ones runs out?
“My mom, it was on her bucket list. She wanted to see it,” Deborah Davis, a hospital administrator, said emotionally.
“My dad just passed away last year, March 11th. So this is one of the things she wanted to see before. She couldn’t see it with him, but I’m taking her here. They were married 60 years. She’s enjoying it a lot. The whole way down, she [was saying] ‘I can’t believe we’re coming to see this, finally.’”
“It was very special and meaningful to see my mom connect with the pieces and the message,” shared Ms. Davis.
“She likes it a lot. She’s so glad that she finally gets to see it. She’s sad that my dad’s not here to see it with her,” said Ms. Davis.
“You can see the passion, the history, it’s just so expressive. I think they’re spectacular. They’re beautiful in their movements,” said Ms. Davis.
“It’s very sacred. It’s very personal. It’s very meaningful. It’s very deep in everything,” she added.
“I enjoy every piece. I think the one with the pixies and the dragon, the way that they did that, that was pretty unexpected. How they take the screen and they pop out on real life, that was really good,” commented Ms. Davis.
