Microsoft Slate, the Redmond-based tech company’s newest tablet computer, will be available by Christmas, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said on Tuesday.
“You‘ll see new slates with Windows on them. You’ll see them this Christmas,” Ballmer said to students, faculty, and reporters at the London School of Economics.
Ballmer did not mention who would manufacture the Slate, any pricing information, or when the slate would go on sale.
Technology sources close to Microsoft told neowin.net that the company would announce its plans on the Slate on Oct. 11.
