Man Killed in North Hills Shooting

LOS ANGELES—A man was shot to death June 17 in the North Hills area of Los Angeles.

The shooting was reported at 4:20 p.m. in the 8600 block of Parthenia Place, near Burnet Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, Madison said.

The person who called 911 claimed to have heard shots and found the man down in the street, the officer said.

The suspect was described as a man in his 20s wearing a gray shirt, black pants, and white shoes and who fled the scene on a scooter, Madison said.
