The all-electric i4 M50 thrusts forward with 536 horsepower and 586 lb-ft of torque from its dual motor drivetrain. Such tremendous power from the electric motors is passed to the respective drive axle through an one-speed transmission, and that’s good enough to propel this 5,000-pound coupe from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. With foot hard pressed, hitting 100 mph is effortless.
The electric energy is stored in an 81-kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack that can be filled up with AC Fast Charging and DC Fast Charging. 10 minutes of DC Fast Charging will carry this coupe up to 97 miles. On a full charge, the i4 M50 has a maximum range of up to 270 miles. Brake Energy Recuperation System contributes to the maximum range.
This vehicle measures 188.5 inches long, 72.9 inches wide, and 57 inches tall.
The i4 line has just two models: eDrive 40 and M50. The M50 has Adaptive M Suspension with electronically controlled damper, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Brake Fade Compensation and Start-off Assistant, making for a wonderful driving experience.
The 2022 BMW i4 has no NHTSA 5-Star Safety Rating.

This map system integrates digital services of navigation, parking, and charging.
There is not an abundance of cabin space, even though there is a 40/20/40 split fold-down rear seats. I liked the power glass moonroof which gave the appearance of more room.
It was hot in Texas the week of my drive, which seemed to tax the multi zone climate control.
BMW had an array of standard safety features like Frontal Collision Warning with braking and Pedestrian Warning with braking, Lane Departure Warning, rear view camera, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic warning, park distance control, and Active Blind Spot Detection. Overall, the cabin was amazingly quiet, and the BMW cornered with smooth quickness and impressive speed.
