Glenn Mull, owner of Mull Farms and Feeding in Pawnee Rock, Kansas, was identified as one of four killed in a plane crash in Tennessee.
His wife, Elaine; their daughter, Amy Harter; and granddaughter Samantha Harter were also killed in the crash.
They were traveling to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Trade Show in Nashville when their Gulfstream 690C crashed Monday while trying to land in suburban Nashville. They had taken off from the Great Bend Municipal Airport.
Gibson says the family “is in the process of coming to terms with the shock of this loss” while also trying to address the needs of Mull’s employees and the community.
Jeanine Hayes, Glenn Mull’s sister, said in a alter statement that “The tremendous void left in the ashes of the crash will be a stinging reminder of the ones taken too soon.”
Larned Mayor Bob Pivonka told Kansas.com that the Mulls are a respected family in the area.
“Glenn has been very successful in the cattle business and everything else,” Pivonka said. “He was real involved in the cattle operation and civic affairs in Larned.”
“This is going to be a real loss to our community.”
The crash was very close to the YMCA, which was occupied by around 300 people at the time.
The FAA and the National Traffic Safety Board are investigating the crash.
