Gan Jing World, a new digital platform, has released a unique social media content curator to help its creators build influence by forging communities. The hashtag aggregator tool pulls together all content on the platform—long-form videos, short videos, articles and blogs, posts, and images—and presents it in a grid view, all on one page.
The unique mix of content and forms offers flexibility to different creators, whether their strengths are in audio, video, or written formats, according to Nick Janicki, the company’s director of media relations. He added that podcasts would soon be a new format at creators’ disposal.
“The human touch with Gan Jing World’s technology is remarkable,” Hedges told The Epoch Times, adding that he feels the platform doesn’t aggregate content as data points, but as elements of human interactions.
And that sense of community reflects the company’s mission of putting traditional values before technology, said Janicki.
“While other social media platforms are trying to pull people into the virtual world, Gan Jing World uses technology to help people reconnect through traditional interactions,” he said, adding that the platform’s Father’s Day photo and Mother’s Day video contests encouraged creativity from communities based on family values.
“Gan Jing means clean,” reads the platform’s official website, founded by Chinese Americans in New York last year.
“Our mission is to create the world’s largest entertainment community, providing uplifting and meaningful content and family-friendly entertainment for all ages,” the company states. “We want to create an online platform free from violent, erotic, criminal, and harmful content for kids and adults alike to enjoy safely.”
Hedges said that the clean environment idea was what drew him to Gan Jing World.
Currently, YouTube is still his main platform. He syncs his Gan Jing World channel with his YouTube Channel, so all his videos are published in both places. He said he thought Gan Jing World’s no political censorship approach would have a broader appeal to all content creators.
Hedges opened his channel on Gan Jing World as an investment in the future. In his view, a creator who joins this platform early gains the first-mover advantage.
He noticed that Gan Jing World has been growing fast by releasing a new feature almost every week. Hence, he said the startup might be one catalyst away from becoming a dominant player in the industry.
“I think Gan Jing World has read the mood right that we are perhaps experiencing a shift right now where new social media sites are needed,” he added, saying that the catalyst could be a major event in society that all of a sudden highlights the company’s value proposition: clean content built on traditional values and human relations.
Janicki agrees with Hedges’s assessment. For now, he invites content creators to use Gan Jing World’s hashtag aggregator to unlock their potential to gather influence and build stronger communities.
