In an increasingly global world, more and more professionals are finding themselves employed in foreign countries. Whether being sent abroad by an employer or seeking some sun and a more relaxed work environment, expat workers are moving to a plethora of destinations.
InterNations, the world wide networking site for people who live and work abroad has just recorded its two millionth member in early January 2016. Founding Partners Malte Zeech and Phillip von Plato started the operations in 2007 and the network now organizes activities in 390 cities around the world. According to InterNations, in 2015 over 1.25 million members attended almost 40,000 of their events and activities, a growth of 25 percent compared with 2014.
“InterNations” the expat social networking organisation is going from strength to strength. Just 1-year after clocking up its 1-millionth member it pushed membership up by 50 per cent and now has over 1.5 million members in its 390 city worldwide operations.
