The navigable 524-mile inland waterway of the New York Canal System will undergo its annual inspection this week. The system runs throughout upstate New York, and connects the Hudson River with Lake Champlain, Lake Ontario, Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake, and Lake Erie via the Niagara River.
