Canada’s largest school board has shown the door to the Beijing-run Confucius Institute.

Less than a week before Canada’s largest school board votes on whether to end its partnership with the controversial Beijing-run Confucius Institute, Chinese officials have issued a letter seeking to terminate the agreement.

A committee has voted in favour terminating TDSB’s Confucius Institute program. The issue will go before the entire board for a vote at the end of the month.
