A human rights lawyer in China, Wang Yonghang, who has been tortured in prison since 2009, is reportedly paralyzed from the waist down, according to a fellow Chinese human rights lawyer in Beijing.

The U.S. State Department joined international human rights groups in their support of four Chinese lawyers who are being held in custody by Chinese security forces.
