Mayor Bill de Blasio is hoping to transform New York City into the next Silicon Valley. The mayor unveiled a new website Wednesday that provides resources for startup companies, investors, and anyone interested in entering the tech industry.

Hunts Point Landing, located on the south end of Hunts Point Peninsula in the Bronx, is scheduled to open in August. In the meantime, the city is pushing to get some more attractions to this new public space to bring people there in droves.

The North Shore 2030 report released this month outlines strategies to improve development in the Staten Island area.

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) has entered the 2011 GovFresh Awards, which were created to honor innovative city government technology projects.
