Two planes collided on the tarmac at John F. Kennedy (JFK) Airport in New York on Saturday morning, one heading to West Palm Beach, Fla., the other landing from New Dehli, India.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has begun to move forward over the last year after being labeled “a challenged and dysfunctional organization suffering from a lack of consistent leadership.”

Subway lines B, D, F, M on the orange line will be closed for track and station work for four nights, starting Monday July 23. The line will be closed from 59 St-Columbus Circle to the West 4th Street station, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced Tuesday that millions more of international passengers funneled through the airports surrounding New York City in 2011 than in 2010.

Over 5 million passengers will be using the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s airports, bridges, tunnels, and PATH system throughout the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

Has the Port Authority sold the naming rights to what was meant to be a symbol of American freedom?

“Free fruit New York!” called out vendors passing out produce to passersby lined up outside the Port Authority.
