Chinese telecom giant Huawei’s footprint in the development of the next generation of mobile technology in Canada has been a sore point for the county’s relations with its intelligence and security partners.

The scraps of bankrupt Nortel Networks, once considered the powerhouse of Canada’s tech sector, will be split between the various subsidiaries it once operated around the world.

Three former top executives of bankrupt telecom giant Nortel Networks were found not guilty of fraud on Monday.
