A new Lollipop version is available to Nexus device owners, as Google is rolling out Android 5.0.1, an update that’s compatible with various devices, including the Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (all versions) and the Nexus 10. Additionally, the Motorola Moto G Google Play edition is also being upgraded to Android 5.0.1 right away.
Apple made its new Mac operating system, Yosemite, available as a free download starting Thursday. Apple Pay, the company’s new system for using iPhones to make credit and debit card payments at retail stores, will launch on Monday.
Later on today Apple is expected to announce an all new iPad mini. The latest episode in the so called “tablet wars”, manufacturers getting the edge seems to have been taken to the extreme of late.
