Kansas City is bracing itself for its second winter storm in one week. A winter storm warning is in effect for the city.

Parts of Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma will get hit by a blizzard on Monday, while they are still recovering from last week’s storm that dumped up to 14 inches of snow.

Kansas City declared a state of emergency Feb. 21 at 9:00 a.m. due to heavy snow. Local media reported that Kansas City Mayor Sly James said the declaration would give officials the ability to evacuate areas that are a threat to public health.
