The former aides of NYC comptroller and former mayoral candidate John Liu were sentenced on Oct. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
One of the John Liu’s key aides, Sharon Lee, went through with her admission on April 25 that she offered to reimburse five contributors for Liu’s mayoral campaign.
FBI agent John Chiue began his undercover investigation into Comptroller John Liu’s mayoral campaign in March 2011. On Aug. 16, 2011, his efforts were about to come to fruition.
