Invasive Species

The emergence of the internet as a marketplace has erased many of the old barriers of trade, bringing along with it new problems along with prosperity. Many insidious activities operate in the penumbra of the web, such as drug markets that can only be accessed on the Dark Web, but other harmful trades occur out in the open, on websites like eBay.

What to do about invasive species, which are having a growing and generally detrimental effect on Europe’s environment and economies, is the subject of discussion in both the European Parliament and UK Parliament this week.
