China has unfortunately become notorious for the fake and tainted products its economy produces. One of those fake products apparently saved a man’s life last week.

The recently completed northernmost railroad in China cannot reach the high speeds it was designed for, after the official who oversaw its construction was found to have engaged in corruption.

A construction scandal has been exposed in the southern city of Shenzhen, where many buildings may have used concrete mixed with sea sand instead of river sand.
