HKCC succumbed to relentless pressure from Khalsa to go down 10-0 in their HKHA Premier match at HK Football Club on Sunday March 13, while hosts HKFC had to fight hard for their 4-1 victory against Pak-A in the later match at the same venue.
Khalsa-A’s new year began as 2015 ended, by staying firmly on top of the Premier League standings in formidable fashion after an emphatic 5-1 win over Hong Kong Football Club-A (Club) last Sunday Jan 17 in a thriller at—the Sports Road venue.
SSSC-A goalkeeper Gurdev Singh was crowned ‘man-of-the-match’ for his brilliant performance between the post but his acrobatic skills still failed to halt Khalsa-A from leaving Happy Valley with the 49th edition of the Guru Nanak Cup after they edged out their rivals 2-1 last Sunday Dec 13, 2015.
Khalsa-A and KNS both logged high score wins in their opening matches of the new Premier season at King’s Park on Sunday Sept 20. Khalsa defeated Pak-A 10-3, while KNS-A slotted eight goals past league newcomers HKU-A. Although it is not a surprise it sets Khalsa at the head of the standings on goal difference with KNS in second place.
HONG KONG—With just three more rounds to play in the HKHA Premier Division it is all square at the top of the Standings with Khalsa-A heading the table on goal difference from SSSC-A, both on 34-points. Khalsa-A were held to a 4-4 draw by Valley-A and SSSC-A were beaten 4-6 by Punjab-A to move Punjab-A onto 32-points.
