U.S. security officials said on Wednesday they have obtained highly credible information that indicates Iranian cyber actors were responsible for creating a website threatening election officials, inciting violence, and creating division in the United States.

The FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said in a joint statement that the website, called “Enemies of the People,” is believed to be operated by cyber actors working for the Iranian regime and the main website is currently inactive.
