‘To Know Her Was to Know a True Champion:’ VP Harris Pays Tribute to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

Vice President Kamala Harris highlighted several speakers on Thursday to eulogize Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who passed away on July 19. Harris called Lee a “true champion,” and a woman of “deep faith and deep compassion.” Friends, family and colleagues paid respects to the longtime Texas congresswoman at Houston’s City Hall.
