During a House Science Committee hearing on Sept. 14, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) questioned Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on the Department of Energy’s guidance regarding home appliances. “Why is it that your goals are estimated to eliminate these products completely?” he asked.
