‘How Is That Not Amnesty?’: Sen. Kennedy Presses Sen. Durbin on Immigration Bill for ‘Dreamers’

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on “Book Bans: Examining How Censorship Limits Liberty and Literature” on Sept. 12, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) pressed Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the Committee Chairman, on whether an immigration bill Mr. Durbin had previously introduced is, in reality, an “amnesty” for illegal immigrants.
