Boston Holds Independence Day Parade and Annual Reading of the Declaration of Independence

Boston celebrated the Fourth of July with its Independence Day parade, which started from city hall and ended at the Old State House of Massachusetts, where the Declaration of Independence was read to the big crowd. In 1776, the people of Boston first heard the Declaration read from this same spot.
