Tracy Morgan shares a health update after the actor and comedian got sick courtside on March 17 during a New York Knicks game against the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden (MSG).

In an Instagram update on March 18, the 56-year-old posted a photo of himself smiling from a hospital bed and thanking fans for their concern after he came down with what doctors said was food poisoning.

“Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” he wrote.

The March 17 match-up had the Knicks leading 64–58 in the third quarter when the game was paused to attend to Morgan who was vomiting.

Staffers were quick to attend to Morgan and clean up the area around his seat, delaying the game for approximately 10 minutes.

Morgan was seen being escorted out of the arena in a wheelchair with a towel over his face after also appearing to suffer a nosebleed, before being taken to the hospital.

Following the medical incident, the Knicks secured a 116–95 victory, and Morgan—a die-hard fan who is a frequent game attendee—gave himself a little credit for the win.

“More importantly, the Knicks are now 1–0 when I throw up on the court,” he joked on Instagram. “So maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs.”

“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” an MSG spokesperson said in a statement to The Epoch Times.

Meanwhile, speaking to reporters after the game, Knicks forward Josh Hart expressed concern for Morgan’s health.

“First and foremost, obviously we hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan,” he said. “Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”

The “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock” alum has suffered from health issues in the past, including a kidney transplant in 2010 and a near-fatal auto crash four years later.

In 2014, Morgan spent two weeks in a coma after a limousine bus he was riding in was struck by a Walmart truck in New Jersey.

His friend and fellow comedian, James McNair, 62, was killed as a result of the crash and Morgan was severely injured with multiple broken bones.
