Teen actor Hudson Meek, best known for his role in the hit action movie “Baby Driver,” has died at 16 years old.
Meek sustained blunt force trauma in the fall on Dec. 19 and was admitted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
“His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
Tributes began pouring in across social media from those who knew Meek and worked with him.
“Hudson Meek was a beloved and talented member of the Acting Out Academy community since the beginning. But that is just one piece of the magical person that he was. He was kind, he was faithful, he was funny and lit up any room. He touched so many lives and will be missed beyond measure,” Deusner said.
Established Career
A sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, Meek was a member of the Vestavia Hills Rebel Football Team and was passionate about faith, sports, acting for television and film, and gathering with loved ones.He made his on-screen debut in 2014’s “The Santa Con” and held various acting and voice-over credits over his short yet well-established career.
His obituary states Meek worked on several major motion pictures and television shows before his passing, some of which will be released in 2025.
“He absolutely loved spending time on set and having the chance to learn the names and stories of every member of the cast and crew,” it reads.
Meek is survived by his parents, older brother, and grandmothers.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Dec. 28, at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama, with the service being livestreamed on Meek’s Instagram account.
