Competing for Artist of the Year, Taylor Swift will open the 2018 American Music Awards (AMAs) with the song “I Did Something Bad” from her “Reputation” album.
The artist, who has won 19 AMAs out of 25 nominations, announced the news on her Instagram page on Oct. 2.
The 28-year-old singer will compete with Ed Sheeran, Drake, Imagine Dragons and Post Malone. Drake and Cardi B each have eight nominations, Sheeran and Malone each have six nominations, and Camila Cabello has five.
Other scheduled performers include Carrie Underwood, Benny Blanco, Halsey, Khalid, and more. In addition, Mariah Carey will make her world television debut of “With You,” the first single from her new album.
The 2108 AMAs, which are awarded according to the votes of fans, will be held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and broadcast on ABC live with host Tracee Ellis Ross on Oct. 9 at 8 p.m.
