Steven Spielberg’s Daughter Arrested and Charged With Domestic Assault

Mikaela Spielberg, the adopted daughter of film director and Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg was arrested in Tennessee on assault charges, police said.

The 23-year-old was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily injury and taken to a jail in Nashville after reportedly throwing objects that caused an “observable injury,” reported WZTV-TV.

Officers said Spielberg and her fiancé, 47-year-old Chuck Pankow, got into an argument after returning home from a bar just before 4:00 a.m. on Feb. 29. The incident escalated after the victim, who was not identified, made a “rude comment” toward Spielberg and she then began throwing objects at him, injuring his wrist and hand.

Spielberg was released later that Saturday from the Nashville jail on a $1,000 bail, jail records showed.

Jail records didn’t indicate whether she has an attorney who could comment on the charge. A March 9 court hearing on the charge was scheduled.

Spielberg was born on Feb. 28, 1996, and currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She is adopted as a child by Steven Spielberg and his wife of 29 years, Kate Capshaw.
